The Tigers roll into Inez tomorrow in a double header with the girls. Both games are crucial for district seeding and hoping the cards can pull it out. Though defense has struggled the last couple of games, offensive has been off the chain. Teams are crashing in on watts a lot more now leaving Davis, dials, and Estep open in the corner and on the wings. Paintsville struggled to get up and down with the cards in the All-A and will again tomorrow. Won’t be as big as a win as last time but still will be in the win column.

This will be a game to attend. I think that both fan bases will show up(I don't think it will be a JC/Paintsville type of environment) but it will be packed. The first time these teams met was in the All-A championship game. Paintsville did not play well at all, and Martin played very well. But saying that, I feel like MC isn't playing their best basketball right now. As a coach, you hear a lot of things and i don't want to speculate on anything. HP and JC both knocked MC down a notch by beating them in the past week or so. And not to forget the Floyd Central Game. JJ seems to be on the road to a ejection this year. Technicals are all but guaranteed lately. BUT playing at MC is always tough. I feel like it will be a fight but I'm going to take Paintsville in this one.

Martin county won against Floyd central in a shootout. I think Martin looks to respond after losing at Central but Paintsville comes out fighting. Game will be much closer than the first one but give me Martin county in a nail bitter.

I think MC is a better basketball team, but I think the sloppy, lackadaisical play has finally caught up with them now that other teams around them are starting to play better ball. If MC comes out fired up, physical and focused then they win by 10. If they come out trying to throw lobs off the backboard early then they lose by 5.

Martin Co is the better team, but I look to see Paintsville dominate the paint and cause foul trouble for Martin Co.
Paintsville: 82

Martin Co: 78

Paintsville should be more ready for this game than they were for the first meeting. I expect a closer game, but Martin County does have something to prove after stubbing their toe the last couple of weeks. Martin County pulls it out by 6 at home in a hard-fought game.

Is anyone streaming this game?

Paintsville better switch up their defense from the All-A loss. MC took it to the rim every possession and shot layup after layup all night long. They made Tiger defense look nonexistent.

Is Martin Co, the most overrated team in the Mountains? Gave up 90 points to a young Floyd Central team this past week.

Paker Watts is one of the most dynamic athletes and best basketball players the 15th region has had in a long time. Davis and Dials are both good shooters. Maynard and Estepp are insane athletes also, with as much speed and strength as anyone else in the region. They will figure it out by the time tournaments start. Depth is the only real issue I see with them. The only reliable bench player they have is Eli Mills. In almost any contested game they have, you will only see 6 players.
