Another one that I'm a bit late to the party on. Didn't watch all of this one, but watched enough. The Cards played well at home. Hepburn had 26 and Reyne Smith had a big 17. Edwards didn't have his best night. Traore was back for his second game since being injured but is still ramping up his minutes.
Louisville didn't shoot the ball well-- they were under 25% from three, but North Carolina wasn't any better. Ian Jackson had 23 for UNC. Powell and Cadeau were in foul trouble for a good bit of the contest & Davis finished with four personals as well.
Both of teams are firmly on the bubble right now.
North Carolina has a ton of quadrant one games, but they've only won two of them (Dayton and UCLA). On the bright side, they still have Duke twice, Pitt twice, SMU, and Clemson.
Louisville has five losses-- Tennessee, Duke, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss, but they're going to need a quality win other than then-unranked West Virginia and then #14 Indiana. I don't know how many more chances they'll get, as they've already faced Duke and Carolina. Kelsey's squad has Clemson tomorrow and Pitt this weekend, so that back-to-back, a later rematch with Pitt, and a trip to SMU could well be the difference in how deep they'll need to go in the ACC Tournament to lock in a bid.
