The list was made from wins and losses, not potential. I've not got to watch some of these teams play.....just a ranking on who had beaten who (with a couple of exceptions - the Martin County losing to Perry being the most notable).

Still trying to figure out how Martin lost to Perry. Any insight as to what happened that game?

Well they only beat Rowan, who lost to Floyd Central by 7 and PC by 16, tonight by 2…..a game I know nothing about but could assume a couple of free throws or open shots and the game goes the other way….head scratcher for sure. Their game against Pike Central is another one that I wonder about. However, I know what game tape I would be watching if I had them on my schedule….anyone with firsthand insight from any of the games mentioned.

From other posts other posts I seen, there big man got injuried tonight against Rowan. Not sure how serious it is but they don’t really rebound without him. I’m sure that was the biggest factor

I would like to apologize to PC as they show tonight taking down Pikeville that they very much still are region contenders. Definitely in the top 3-4 teams.

They played entire second half without Maynard. If he doesn’t go down, it’s a double digit win. It also doesn’t help when some forced shots are taken when they had a decent lead. But any win on the road out of region is a good win.

I agree with this. Paintsville plays a pretty good Campbell County team today that’s ranked 2nd in the 10th region but Paintsville has the size and skill to beat them. Campbell County would be the best team in the 15th but I don’t know how they will match up with Paintsville considering Paintsville having really good size. Paintsville seems to always have more size than anyone they play against this season. It will be a good test for the tigers but I 100% believe they will win.

JC will get it together but as of right now Martin county looks on top Watts is probably the best player in the region and Maynard one of the top bigs also dials is looking much improved from last year on both ends probably best player in the freshman class around they got all pieces of the puzzle if only they stay together and don’t fall apart.Pikeville is right there with them and so if pike central but as of now I think Martin is the favorite

Pikeville isn’t beating anyone with a heartbeat how they are playing currently. They looked good their first few games and then have looked equally as bad against Martin and PC. Not knocking those two. They both had something to do with how Pikeville looked. Both Martin and PC are good teams who can beat anyone in the region but a lot of teams would have beaten Pikeville those two nights. They have some things to clean up. Lot of talent but lacking some toughness. They don’t rebound well and they turn it over a ton. If they start valuing the ball and decide to play hard an entire game on defense and on the boards, they’ll be fine but they aren’t good enough to take a night off against literally anyone.

This right here is one of the most moronic statements ive ever heard......Martin co is currently playing the best basketball in the region... I havent looked at everyones numbers but martin co probably has the biggest margin of victory of anyone in the 15th region at over 22 points per game. Martin co has been in the region finals 3 out of the last 5 seasons and won 2 of them. I dont believe we are talking about the same huntington team here.... according to max preps they have the best 4 players in WV on the team...Martin Co and paintsville both played their JV high school squad, not the national team. Not a single player on that team could start for MC. This is absurd... You need to quit riding, Paintsville has a good team, not knocking that at all, but martin co has the most complete team in the region and barring some kind of major setback will win region for the 3rd time in 6 years. By the way paintsville has lost 3 games and MC has lost one... your ranking theory makes you sound like a 15yr old kid trying to argue about your favorite team.
