#1
who has played for your team that was one of your favorites that might not be as popular of a player or as big of a name???

As a Ram fan my favorite player from this year is by FAR linebacker and running back Landon Bloss. He may not be a superstar yet but i’d put money he will be in due time.

As a Middlesboro fan here is a few from previous years who wasn't one of our top 3 players at the time but where very good on the teams they played on and didn't get a lot of credit to compare our best players.
2024- Freshmen LB Jacob Tinnel & Fr LB Cameron Mosely.
2023- Sophomore Malichi Coots FB/TE fun to watch due to his improvement every game. Senior RB Rylee Foster Never started rb til his sr year and didn't disappoint.
2022- Senior DE Terrance Brooks Good player from so year up but didnt earn a starting spot until senior year and was fun to watch due to his aggressiveness. Senior wr/db Tyler sturgill was probably my favorite DB ive watched at middlesboro and it came out of no where senior year where he ended up earning a scholarship to Union.
2021-Logan Daniels Senior wr/db kid was undersized and had solid hands but his blocking for his size was awesome to watch at times. Also Senior Tyler Kelly RB/LB kid was a solid ball carrier but stood out at LB mainly due to how smart he was.
2020- JR Jay West DE/TE was a absolute beast when he turned it on either side of the ball. Kid was probably 6-4 220 and ended up going to EKY for football. Riley Gent Senior RB. Kid was backup to Junior Caleb Bogonko until he went out and Riley came in and didn't disappoint.

Even though I think he IS a superstar, Reggie Cottrell must be mentioned!! He has played with some major talent over the years, but never ever does he seek accolades. He has overcome so much in his life; not the least of which is the loss of fingers and the slight use of his left hand. That didn't even slow him down. As usual, he ducks his head and just comes back again and again.

My favorite position in basketball is what I call the "garbage man". They do everything, and teams are lucky to have them. Reggie can do it all, and if he feels challenged in a position, he just tries harder.

Really good player and I agree, he is a star. Watched him several times. I was very concerned for him with his injury between seasons but he just continues to overcome. Fun to watch.
