Montavin Quisenberry
#1
I have absolutely no ties with Boyle County high school and wouldn't recognize Quisenberry if he walked right past me.

But for some reason, I can't get this kid off my mind this morning.

From things I've heard from folks that I respect in football and watching some film, this kid is certainly an outstanding high school athlete.  I cannot wait to see him at the next level and look forward to following him on his collegiate journey.  I'm wondering how he feels this morning.  I don't KNOW but I can assume.  This kid has been nothing short of phenomenal his entire high school career.  When the game needed to be won, this kid took it on himself to do it.  Just like he did last night.  I'm sure he had dreams of bringing a state title home for his Senior year; instead he is waking up this morning to the reality that his high school football days are over.  It makes me tear up.  When Brown left the game last night, Quisenberry strapped the whole team to his back and gave it his all.  He even took wildcat formation several times, and ran and fought for the score.  The very last offensive play of his career ended in a fumble/uncalled TD/first & goal, etc.  Instead, it ended on a controversial call that gave the opposing team the ball and the score a few plays later.  Ultimately it gave them the game.

I hope and pray that this kid VERY SOON realizes what a phenomenal career he has had.  He has the talent, the skill and the grit!!!  He's got it all!!  God knows, Quisenberry has every right in the world to feel confident and very very proud of himself.  I hope he realizes this sooner rather than later!

Thank you Q for the wonderful games and memories you have provided over the last 4 years.

Good luck and God speed.

Outstanding post Granny. He's a great young man outside of football also. Hate to see him go out like that but that's how life is. Very high character young man.

Boyle loses multiple games the last few years without him, IMO. good luck to this kid.

Besides Wandale he's the best skill player I've saw in Kentucky, maybe in my time watching Ky high-school football. If he were the size of his dad he would be the #1 recruit in the nation most likely.

Without Q, they lose to my Hounds last season, and probably in the '22 title game , as well. Q, I should probably be mad at you for costing my team back-to-back state titles but I'm not. You are a joy to watch. I am now your biggest fan. Take the SEC by storm, young man!!!
