Lawrence county 2025
#1
Any info on what lc's next contract will look like??
I'm hearing they are replacing Belfry with Martin County. But haven't heard much of anything else!

Really don’t need to weaken their schedule. They’re supposed to be better next year.

I agree it's not a good strategy to replace belfry with MC, but that's what I've been hearing!! I'd like to see them get bell or rockcastle on the schedule but I don't see them doing that

Seems like no matter what type of talent LC has, they underachieve in the playoffs. That, imo, is a direct result of their schedule. Without Belfry, it’s pretty weak.

IMO….that is the by product of an inexperienced staff thinking you have to rack up wins against the blind sisters of the poor to build confidence.    Wins help….but solid competition, when being played by kids with talent and a staff that’s working on development and leadership,  outweigh the hollow victories.   Being challenged, and facing better competition, under the right staff builds championship character. There is a lot of talent in Louisa. Should play a schedule to reflect that.

Lawrence and JC could be a interesting game.  Neither team would have far to travel to the other.  Both already play Belfry.  Plus I believe it was last year that, Lawrence gave Belfry a better game than JC did.

LC has no interest in playing this game. They have had Belfry in their district which means the JC game would have prepared them better than anyone and they still wouldn’t schedule it. Now they don’t even have to play Belfry.

I hadn't thought about that.  Thats a good point you made there.

The schedule will be tougher next year, not sure they have released it yet so I’m waiting until they do to comment on this post. There are some very good teams on it, excited to share once that time comes.

Excited man to see the schedule. We all know they truly need to beef it up for the upcoming years

You know they need to but most likely they won’t. Year end and you’re out Lawrence County has probably the weakest schedule in Eastern Kentucky. This years schedule is just flat out terrible. According to the RPI Lawrence County’s opponents winning percentage is 37.5%
