Prestonsburg 47 Knott Co. Central 7
#1
Final from Hindman

Blackcats trailed 7-6 after 1 -- Knott was able to score on a nice pass and reception. Defender couldn't have played the ball much better, Pats just made a nice play for the score. Knott did well defending Prestonsburg in spurts, but it seemed like anytime Dalton Elliott touched the ball he was gone. He had 2 touchdowns called back. Not sure on the penalty count in this one, but Prestonsburg had to have at least 10-12 penalties to Knott's 2 or 3.

I thought Holbrook's big touchdown run on 4th down before the half was the biggest play in the game for Prestonsburg. They needed that score to go up 26-7 and take all the mojo into the half. It was all Blackcats after halftime and the weather delay. Elliott had a huge game. Logan Stumbo had a scoop and score for the Blackcats defense. Not the prettiest win in the world, but the Blackcats took care of business on the road and have captured their 22nd district championship in school history and their first since 2017.

Prestonsburg improves to 9-0 and will travel to Jackson next Friday and take on the Breathitt County Bobcats, who are very hot right now. Big time game.

Knott Central has the nicest football stadium in Kentucky.

Congrats Blackcats!

^^^ I wouldn’t go that far as to say it’s the nicest in Kentucky that’s a bit of a stretch
