You could say this was a blow out, mostly the blowout was because of Crum's hot hand dropping 42 pts 10-13 from behind the arc. And I would like to brag on Ac's defense and Hammond's tough play sliceing the defense and driving to draw fouls very good game.
Congrats Rebs!

Didnt get to make it to this one, but sounds like the rebels played very well. 42 points from Crum and 10-13 from 3? All i can say is WOW, what a ballplayer

Maybe he has more of his cousin in him then some people thought. Scoring must run in the family

Congrats Rebels! Sounds like the Reb's bounced back & picked up 2 wins in the tournament after that 1st round loss to Cordia. Nice "W". Wow, 42pts & 10-13 from behind the arc. My math is a little fuzzy, but I think thats over 75% from treyville. Maybe the performance of the year in the district. I don't think we'll see that happen again this year in the 58th. He is probably the only player capable of putting up those kinds of numbers. IMO, Crum is starting to assert himself as one of the top two or three players in the district along with J. Hall from P-burg & teamate A. Hammonds of AC.
With the Crowder twins & J. Prater playing well, A. Hammonds & Crum asserting themselves as leaders, & C. Turner providing a spark off the bench I think the Rebels are the team to beat in the 58th. I would rank them 3rd in the region at the moment behind SV & Paintsville. Just my opinion!

Well offense isnt everything, defense is the most part, u dont play d, u wont win, Crum just better thank his teammates that they can play d because hes one of the biggest goal suckers ive ever seen.

Well, apparently lion crazy and norm stewart doesnt know basketball. 10-13 from the 3 pt line means he had 30 of his pts from 3 pointers. 2 off free throws, that leaves 10 points. Also, he had 2 steals that led to layups, which leaves 6 points from so called cherry picking. Plus, if you ever have watched AC in the past, their 2 guard always leaves when the ball is shot, so thats nothing new, thats just johnny martin basketball. Crum plays defense just as much as anyone else. He gets a couple steals a game, and he traps well in the corners at halfcourt. To down a 42 point performance and shooting around 80 percent by saying he doesnt play defense, is just stupid. Give credit where it is due. Name me one other player in the district or even the region who could have a performance like that. There is none. Other players score around 12 points and dont do ANYTHING else, and people brag about how good they are. Give the players credit who deserve it, and dont down great performances.

It was a good performance, but when crum gets tired, or beat off the dribble, he goes ahead and runs back court to get the ball, sure he "tries" to play defense, and sumtimes it pays off.....and ppl who doesnt score any points can still make a difference in the games, it doesnt matter how many points they score, its their presence on the court that does something....and Crum did play a good game, i didnt say he didnt.

1 year from now crum will not be on a college roster and its because he plays no defense
and goal sucks. He hit 10 3's your right but how many of those 3's came when jackson man beat him off the dribble on the point of ac 1-3-1 zone and he leaked out then after jackson scored one of the twins would jump out throw it in and 25 would hit him with an assist with crum already spotted up down court

Did you ever think that what you call "goal sucking" is by design?

Also, I think Crum has an outside shot at playing college basketball.

None of the 3's came off fastbreaks. He had a box and one played on him the majority of the game. I'd say for about 7 or 8 of the 3's he hit, he had hands right in his face. Like Junk Yard Dog said, AC has played that way for years with a guard taking off, and you can say what you want about that part, but 10 3's is no fluke, this kids a ballplayer

What I can't understand is why you people can never give props to good players.. I mean, lets look at this.. It really wouldn't matter if Crum would have had 5 steals and 10 rebounds to go along with the 42 points, some of you people would still bask his basketball ability because he has either: 1.) beat your team or 2.) you just can't stand to see someone succeed.
Lets face it.. You all do this every year. Bash the good players around the area. Landon Slone, Clark Stepp, ... and the list goes on. Aaron Crum is no exception.. Come on guys. These are just kids who have been blessed with an unbelieveable talent.. Instead of bashing or criticizing, why not try giving some support. I mean, it's pretty impressive anytime anyone connects on 10 three point baskets in a ballgame. Get off your jelous horses and show these mountain kids with talent some support!!
