Zvonimir Ivisic Eligibility
#1
Looks like this is going to continue to drag out. Not sure that anyone is fully buying some of the illness/food poisoning stories from earlier.

I'm wondering if it would have been quicker but for the UK Admissions Office, but thinking the answer is yes.

Still, the holdup appears to center on his  professional/loss of amateur status with the NCAA.

Don't know if the holdup is being caused by his former team not supplying the requested info, the NCAA not being in a hurry to make a decision, or both.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel as though the longer this goes on, the worse the chances that we ever see him in game action.

Anyone have any thoughts or points to add?

I think this is just a sequel to the same story we have seen in the past with this. I would be truly surprised to see him play for UK.

Some of the KSR guys were somewhat surprised he returned to Lexington after the holiday break. I think the kid probably really wants to play. I figured something would have been decided long before now. I'm with Jack, the longer this drags on, the less likely we are to see a happy Big Blue Z ending.

He’ll never play at UK

At this point if he doesn't come back within the next two weeks I think he would just ruin the flow of the minutes being shared right now. Mitchell is playing great and is out leader. Then Bradshaw and Onyenso doing their rotation has been affective. So i don't know, as good as he's been talked about, I would love to see him play but I don't want our flow and team cohesiveness messed up cause it is as good as it has been since Maxey and Quickly's team.
If you need any assistance or want to report a problem feel free to PM me and we will get it taken care of!  Thank you for choosing to be apart of the BGR community!

Mitchell is playing a lot of minutes. Over an extended season, I don't know that it's a great thing, especially with Thiero already being limited. Even if Thiero's healthy, Ivisic's ability to step out and hit jumpers is something that isn't there otherwise should Mitchell get in foul trouble or miss time for due to injury.

Agree that there isn't much time for Ivisic to get acclimated if there isn't a determination within the next two or so weeks though. Even if he were ruled eligible today, there's a lot that needs to happen for him to have a chance to make meaningful contributions outside of practice this season.

We're still good enough to be a Final Four team without Z and like Spud said, I don't want anything upsetting the chemistry or flow of this offense. Hell, we missed a LOT of shots last night and STILL scored 90. We can win without Z, but I don't know how far we'd go without Tre. He's our leader. Very smart, very experienced, calming influence on the young guys. Thank you, West Virginia.

Has he been allowed to practice? I haven't followed this situation close.

Yes. I think he’s allowed to practice and even dress.

Yes. Can confirm for 100% that he even went through warm-ups with the rest of the team today at Texas A&M.
