Wayne County 37 Casey County 34
#1
Wayne County breaks Casey's heart for the third year in a row with under 1 minute remaining.  In 2021, Wayne scores with 4 seconds left to win 21-14.  2022 Wayne scores with 3 seconds left to win 33-32.  This year, Wayne scores with 52 seconds left and wins 37-34.  That's a lot of heart break for one school to have with one team.  Wayne has beaten Casey County 15 times in a row, with the Rebels last victory of the Cardinals coming in 2003.  Both teams put up a lot of offense.  Casey with 390 yards and Wayne with 467.

59 seconds, that go the right way, and Casey would be 3-0 vs. Wayne.  Football can be a heartbreaker.

Congrats Walt. Your kids over there play their behinds off. #5 is a stud, but some of those lineman always remind me of Casey, undersized at spots, but just play their hearts out. The young running back at Wayne looks good, QB is a good player. Lots to work on. Is Wayne not close to being in 3A? Just feels like they should be. I thought we might have actually had a few more numbers than Wayne did. Anyways, I wasn't recording game film that night, had to listen while up in Buckeye land (puke...). It was a great football game.
