How do the New England Patriots stack up against the greatest teams of all time
#1
How do you all think they stack up against the packers of the 60's the steelers and cowboys of the 70's the 49ers of 80's the cowboys of the early 90's and the all mighty undefeated dolphins...

Its a different game now than it was in the 60s through even the 80s..I'll tell you this though. This New England team would beat the '72 Dolphins by 60 points..but you cant make a fair assessment because of the players getting so much bigger, stronger, faster than those teams of those decades..I think the Cowboys teams of the 90s would match up pretty well against them...and Ill go to my grave screaming that the greatest football team that ever took the field was the 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers.

Patriots were given all they could handle by a .500 team that started a back-up quarterback who ate them apart, and would have lost if said quarterback wouldn't have choked at the end.

I thought the Patriots were the best team ever until last night. Last night, the Eagles got crazy pressure on Tom Brady and that made their offense very vulnerable and made them struggle, and the Eagles offense ran the ball all over them and a back-up QB tore them apart, and should have beat them.

I think they would HAVE TO RANK right there with the best. I have never seen a team dominate teams as bad as the Patriots do!

I know some won't agree, but I think that this Pats team is the best to ever play, and here's why: More and more each season, teams get closer and closer, more even. Just look at the NFC! What I mean is that teams are consistently becoming level, and making game predictions into a guessing game. So, even with a near even playing field, like has never been seen before, the Patriots still dominate. Even if not by 3 TD's every game, they still win. That shows that they're just on a different level.

I think the '78 Steelers would beat the '07 Patriots 21-20 the only reason the score would be so close is because the most of the '78 team is in their 50s and 60s now LOL!Smile
