Final what a comeback by Douglass down 54-41 with just over 4 minutes left to play. They closed out the game on a 17-0 run. Broncos held to the semifinal in only their 6th season.

Douglass now 33-2 and have won their 30th straight!

Final. What a game. Douglass ends on a 17-0 run. They were down as many as 13. Male was scoreless the last 4:23 of regulation.

What a game. Every championship team has one game that survive despite not playing their best. In the end, Douglass' athleticism was too much for Male, who wasn't as locked in from three as they would have hoped.

It was huge for Frederick Douglass to survive this game with the minutes their kids played. Kai Simpson's foul trouble (he sat and/or was in deep foul trouble most of the game, getting tagged with his 4th in the third quarter) and Boone or Chenault (can't remember which now... I'll attribute it to watching too many games at once) sitting out so much of the first half with a busted nose while trainers tried to stop the bleeding.

I honestly thought Douglass was dead in the water when Male jumped out to a nine to ten point lead.

Incredible heart and determination from the Broncos.

Will be interesting to see how they deal with George Rogers Clark's size in the next round should they advance.
