Who were the best running backs to play at Hazard?
#1
My top 5 would be…

1.  Houston Hogg
2.  Brandon Jones
3.  Alvin Harris
4.  Anthony Sharpy
5.  Zack Blanton

I know there’s a ton more.
#2
From a Pikeville perspective, Corey Smith was tough.
#3
I played against Sharpy …he was almost impossible to tackle once he got into the open field

me too!  We shut them out.  I remember his comments after the game about our defense and how hard we hit.  Kid was a stud and honorable in defeat.  Did he die in an accident?

What about the Combs boys- Willie and Pete; I think.

Yes Sharpy has been passed away for a long time. Maybe 15 years or longer.

Anthony sharply died in I think 1996 he jumped off a bridge on the hazard bypass it was believed it was dark and he was trying to get home and he didn’t know where he was and jumped over the guard rail and it was 76 feet to the pavement below
