FCPS Committee voted unanimously to end requirement of each team to schedule one another in football. Looks like a defending champions schedule just opened up... Between this and impending new districts, have to wonder which schools try to improve RPIs via scheduling.
More than likely they (Douglass) will still play Station, PLD and Henry Clay as I think those 3 will be a district together but it will open now 6 games. I personally would like to see them keep Boyle and Scott Co. on the schedule, but I'm pretty sure Scott has already said that if Douglass moved to 6A they were not playing. If both still did play that would give the Broncos at least 4 games to schedule which is a lot better than the 1 they have had the last 4 years.
