Where did the WC RB go a few years ago after he graduated? He was one heck of a player. And a load to stop. I thought he was better than what KM from Franklin co is.

I agree Sloan was a much better high school running back than KM has been. It seems to me that top college RB prospects often do not have as good stats as less highly touted players. Moorman has played well against JC but has not had a spectacular game. Sloan put up great numbers almost every game with opponents trying all sorts of defensive schemes to stop him. In a playoff game against Johnson Central, WC's quarterback was injured early in the game, so he moved to QB. He completed 6 of 9 passes for 105 yards, rushed for 101 yards, on 33 carries and was WC's second leading tackler for the game. I'm sure his rushing stats would have been better if he had been able to play running back for the full game but the game showed what a versatile, rugged player he was.

Good point about Braedon, Hoot. He's very versatile. EKU has played him more at WR than at RB.  I know he caught 4 TDS last season.

I remember that year. It was a bad year us. Haddix last season. A down year. A LONG year. But I’m with ya, he was a very versatile player. He could catch. He could run. He was fast, but sometimes fast players aren’t quick, or I guess shifty would be the word. He had it all. He had a JC style running backs strength. I don’t think there was to many solo tackles on him. I thought he could have played for an SEC school. Or at least competed for it. But I guess that’s why I’m not a recruiting coordinator hahah. Years ago, players like him might come through ever 10 years. But good thing for us fans, they are starting to come more often. Heck in 4A alone (which some of the teams weren’t 4A then), you had the RB from JC, Joe sometbing…. I think was his name. Back when they went to 4 or 5 straight title games. Boyle co’s WR R smith. Corbins C. Estep which was a heck of a RB then QB, pretty much just all around athlete. Went to UK for baseball and now plays for the mets. Lex caths Qb Allen. And then G. Bingham who (not counting Corbins estep because he’s already in the MLB) has the best chance for us to watch on Sunday’s. We’ve been blessed as fans and as a state with the run of athletes that’s past by in just the last few years. I’ve enjoyed watching them all

Joe Jackson was the JC running back's name. He rushed for over 2,000 yards on JC's first state championship team and was named the 4A MVP as a sophomore. Going further back, JC had J.J. Jude, who is Kentucky's all time career and single game rushing leader, who was also a great defensive player, and a two-time state champion in wrestling. I've never seen a high school player with more stamina than Jude. Jackson and Jude would get my vote as the top two Johnson Central running backs in school history. Coach Peck says that current sophomore Zack McCoart has the potential to be the best ever. Like Jackson and Jude, McCoart is a standout wrestler.

I’ve watched Sloan play several times this year at EKU while on game day visits. He’s bigger and faster than he was while in HS. Lol. He’s a hard nosed runner still , and I’ve yet to see him fall backwards while getting tackled.

McCoart wears #2 and he did play last season as a COVID freshman. He had 121 carries for 1287 yards last season. Against Corbin, he rushed for 97 yards on 16 carries. Against Boyle County in the finals, he rushed for 111 yards on 9 carries.

I'm not sure how many on the OL started against Corbin specifically last season, but I have heard Coach Peck say that they lost 6 or 7, so I assume he meant the entire line, including one or two tight ends.

But I’ve went and looked and didn’t see anything. There is a radio station WFLW that does their games, but i don’t think they do live streams. Or I couldn’t find it.
