Eight games into career, Peterson owns single-game rushing record
#1
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minutes after Adrian Peterson lost a fourth-quarter fumble at the San Diego 20-yard line, the ball was back in his hands.
He rumbled around right end, paused to set up his blocks, and sprinted 46 yards up the sideline for Minnesota's game-clinching touchdown.
This rookie doesn't make many mistakes. He simply sets a lot of records.

I love this guy... He is the most complete rookie player out there, and someday I think he will end up being the best NFL back in history.

Very possible IF he stays healthy throughout his career.

I have him and LT in one of my leagues, the point system is set up so if you score a hundred, it's a lot, I scored 220 one week. Peterson's amazing, he's like a bulked up power version of Barry Sanders (not saying he's bulky, but compared to Sanders, he looks big).

He is a BEAST!

Unreal...Already has over a 1000 yards and they didn't even start him the first 6 games!!

whats unreal is, he didnt do that against a bad defense either..the Chargers aint no slouch. SD knew that Minnesota would pound it on the ground, because they have a bunch of high school quarterbacks trying to throw the ball...and he still ends up with 296 yards..amazing..I think Dickersons 1808 is within reach. The 2105 will stand for awhile, but I definitely think he can get 1808 this year..

He's the best RB in the league, that's all there is to say. I just hope he can stay healthy running as hard as he does.

I was watching something on ESPN not too long ago and it showed that Peterson got 252 yards in the second half. In that one half of football he had more rushing yards than anyone to play in the NFL in a single game, except five.

If he has 125 yards a game for the remaining games, he'll finish with 1811. All but three of the teams he's faced so far were ranked in the top 15 (at least) in rushing yards allowed (and I'm sure San Diego was higher before Peterson made them look stupid). If he runs for 134 yards a game, he'll beat the record, and Denver and Oakland are two of the three worst rush defenses in the league, Chicago's 26th, San Fran's 24th, and none of them have faced a back as good as Peterson, because no one's anywhere near as good as him.

I think Adrian will tear the rest up. He is doing awesome this year. There is no stopping this man. He is the real deal out there. I hope he stays healthy.

Mcfadden will be better. lol well he will be good I think Peterson is just a tad bit better than Mcfadden. It's not ever day you see a rookie that good.

This kid is a beast. He is hands down rookie of the year and IMO if it wasn't for Tom Brady having a career year like he is, Peterson would be the MVP.

When McFadden gets into the NFL he will have an incredible rookie season, just like Peterson is having. Very Similar players, but the one thing I love about McFadden is that instead of taking the hit, he gives the hit too you. But in the NFL he will take some hits.
