Shelby Valley 59, Pike Central 7 (Pike Co Bowl)
#1
Final score in the nightcap of PCB day 2.

This game was over early.  SV would score 7 touchdowns on their 8 possessions in the first half, and led 45-7 at the break.  The second half, under a running clock, saw Valley's second string offense put up 2 more touchdowns to set the final score.

Valley's offense was clicking all night.  However, the defense rebounded from a tough night against Letcher to control the entire game.  Central did not have a sustained drive all night long, with most ending in a 3-and-out.

Shelby Valley has now won 4 straight against Pike Central in the Pike County Bowl.

Wow. PC really struggling on defense. I watched most of this one and somehow their defense may have gotten worse since last season.

Expected a more competitive game. Pike Central has a lot to work on especially on defense if they are going to win anymore games this year. Shelby Valley is my pick to win their district with West Carter being down. They looked really good on both sides of the ball.

Shelby Valley is loaded at the skill positions. Their offensive line and defense needs to get better, but the skill guys are legit.

If this Team stays healthy and they can improve on the line and defensive side of the ball they can make a deep playoff run this year.
