CareMore Pharmacy/Dorton Wildcat Preseason Tournament

The Dorton boys' basketball team is hosing a preseason tournament sponsored by CareMore Pharmacy on Nov 12th-15th. Looking to get 8 teams. I have 5 as of now. There will be team trophies, coaches' trophies, and All Tournament trophies given away. By the way, the 5 teams as of now are Dorton, Virgie, Elkhorn City, Mullins, and Herald Whitaker. I picked up Herald Whitaker yesterday, then South Floyd dropped out today.

I already did. They said they wouldn't be ready by then because of football. Belfry and Johns Creek were both in, but dropped out for the same reason.

I added Paintsville to the tournament today. That brings me to 6 teams. I am still looking for 2 more.

I added Betsy Layne today, bringing me to 7 teams. That will make for some pretty good matchups in the first round. Right now I tentatively have:

TOP BRACKET
Elkhorn City vs Herald Whitaker
Dorton vs Paintsville

BOTTOM BRACKET
Virgie vs Betsy Layne
Mullins vs BYE

I am looking for a team to play Mullins. If anyone knows a team who would be interested in playing let me know.

Did you try Adams or Allen? I bet they're finished with their football for the year.

Yes, I picked up Grundy.

There will be 3 first round games tomorrow, with the fourth game (Belfry vs. Grundy) being played on Tuesday night.

I'll post the scores from all the games each night.
