Cawood 19 - Powell County 14
#1
Wow...
#2
Wow is right... congrats Cawood. Way to earn some respect Powell.. good job.
Anyone have any stats on the game?
#3
This the same Cawood that goes 1-10 every season?
#4
Congrats Cawood
#5
Powell should've had this one.......should, coulda, woulda. same ole thing every week. they play hard but just don't execute. j.rose ran one in & b.rice threw a td to j.wright. this one really hurt. it's one thing to get beat by a team that's better than you, but..............
#6
Eye opener, Great job powell, Congrats Cawood on the W. 3
#7
I am surprised at the score. Didn't think it would be this close. Congrat Cawood on the win.
#8
let's not forget the cawood home field advantage powell had it won until less than 4 minutes left in the game............. just food for thought
#9
also, it's kinda obivious who is gonna win when the officials don't call pass interferences and don't give points because they are too old and blind to see the ball going straight through the goal posts and also when they are having chit chats with cawood natives at halftime... powell had that game won, and until they called the facemask on the 4th down in the fourth quarter when our player had their arms around the players waist... if they had some fair officiating at that game powell would have won no doubt

Powell looks to have played better after a bad game last week. Congrats to Cawood and good luck to both

That sounds like way to common of an excuse for a loss. If Powell was supposed to be the superior team then one blown call should not have made that much of a difference. Give credit where credit is due. Cawood put together the better game in this one.

PCHS...We got to stop meeting like this....There you go tooting your horn and don't even know the tune your trying to play. We had every opportunity to win that game. I hate to see fans or players use the ref excuse. The refs made some questional calls but not enough to cost us the game. We missed some wide open pass plays. Missed a ton of tackles. Should the ref threw a flag on their RB for being to fast?... Get over it and move on. Bottom line is when Powell starts to execute on offense, they will win some ball games. Untill then, They will offer excuses. The difference between a average ballplayer and a great ballplayer is: The great ones don't make excuses....they fight through it:rockon:

They don't have an average player. Same thing every week, something happened, bad calls, etc. You make a good point blitz, it is always someone else who causes the loss. That is why Powell is Powell! And still, they continue to embarrass themselves!

How did #3 and #2 do for powell? Heard lots of good things about powells effort this game but heard there was no execution consistantly just a drive or two.
#16
first of all no one from powell is making excuses yes they lost and they moved on. however. they did receive some bad calls. several people from harlan complimented powell co and told them that was the best game they had seen all year. powell played cawood harder than any other team that had been there. no one from powell co should ever be embarassed and the next time you have a personal put down keep it to your self. the powell county football team should hold their heads up keep playing and do the best they can that is all they can do. they have improved from game one this year and are an embarassment to no one. powell county football does not need personal put downs from anyone they are proud and as well as they should be. this is not the place for personal slander.

Read the post above yours. That is where we are getting the old "blame the referees for the loss" excuse.

it is not about the statement of baming the officals it is about the reference that any of the football team should be embarassed to be from powell co. that is uncalled for

#2 was 10-19 for 120yds and 1 TD/ 1 INT....He ran 5 x for 14 yds. had 6 tackles. Missed a couple of WR's downfield. Keep on working #2.
