Curious to How many of these head coaches that won state, received COY honors in their respective district/classes?

I think Joe Chirico could go undefeated, running clock all 15 games, and cure cancer and still lose to Raceland’s coach for district COY. I think he has won the award only a few times.

And I would love to know how that’s even possible but it’s been proven to be FACT! I understand Coach Mac getting 1A Coach of the year last year, Pikeville won 1A so how could he not. Sooooo
