Based on games played, win or lose, i think 3-7 could all make a case for being #2 over Paintsville. Pikeville is still the clear cut #1, imo. But 2-7 are toss ups at best. I think Raceland is too low. But going by recirds, i can understand their spot.

I think the past 2 years In 1a just makes me want 4 classes again. It would be nice if making the playoffs could be a big deal to some schools.

I agree. If anything, i feel the best compromise for those of us wanting 4 classes and the KHSAA feeling theres a need for 6, would be going to 5 classes, and only take the disctrict champ or atleast just the top 2 seeds. In single A, theres usually 1 or 2 districts that have 1 or 2 teams that could make a run to the title. Ie Raceland/Paintsville, Pikeville/(historically but not so recent Hazard), etc. 1A is extremely watered down in the current 6A system. Year in and year out it seems the top 5 teams could be competitive in 2 or even 3A in some cases, but theres always a big drop after that.
