Red Status
#1
14 & 15th Region is going all Red quick!!

The way they do the color chart is really hard on small counties. I know in Letcher co where I live we can only have like 4 cases a day and we are shut down.Any small outbreak and we are down for the week.

Well, Letcher doesn't care about their color anyway.

Boys soccer team had to play Hazard at Wolfe County today in the District Tournament because they weren't allowed to play in Perry County while they were in the red.

Letcher has the most active cases of anyone in the regional health department's district.
3 new cases today, 8 yesterday, 8 the day before that, 6 before that, 13 before that.

I'll say that counties with populations of fewer than 100k mean that positive tests impact you that much more.

Knott- Total-262 (28 probable) (116 active, 145 recovered, 1 deceased)
Lee- Total-25 (5 probable) (10 active, 15 recovered)
Leslie- Total-106 (8 probable) (52 active, 54 recovered)
Letcher- Total-258 (86 probable) (131 active, 125 recovered, 2 deceased)
Owsley- Total-56 (20 probable) (17 active, 38 recovered, 1 deceased)
Perry- Total-391 (29 probable) (80 active, 302 recovered, 9 deceased)
Wolfe- Total-58 (13 probable) (22 active, 36 recovered)

I personally think the whole map isn’t the way to go. Teams can be shut down and not allowed to play even if the school or football team is directly affected or not. Which is bogus it has happened here to our county. No one on the team has ever had a positive or had to quarantine yet due to an outbreak locally contained now at our nursing home facility the team can’t play bc it’s now red. If a team doesn’t test positive let them play and stop making this all a political or punishing our young kids if the school doesn’t have to close then sports shouldn’t have to be stopped. It’s getting ridiculous and our governor will get power happy again and attempt to “FORCE” recommendations since no real power is there to force people to do anything against their will and try and stop whatever he see’s fit again including a shutdown. We have to stop being so afraid of everything and try to have some type of normalcy in our kids and daily life. Learn to adapt and persevere. With a 99 percent survival rate this virus can be defeated. Wash your hands use hand sanitizer and stay so far back from people and go about your day. Everyone seems so set in stopping football and sports yet so many people were unsatisfied stuck at home with no money bc let’s face it this whole shut the country down and hand out money from the government will never last the Democratic plan will fail and it won’t take many months of handouts to rank our economy on down the toilet then what will everyone do when they have to stand in line and hope to get food just to stay alive?

If you all would stop voting for the democrats the color map wouldn’t be here. How many of you that’s complaining voted for Beshear? You’re just as much the blame.

Letcher has tested every player and coach every single week  and not had 1 positive and they have been shutdown for weeks. They may have a positive case in the next couple weeks who knows but they have went above and beyond to try to keep these kids playing.
