Dixie Heights @ Corbin Pigskin Classic 9/18
#1
Thoughts?

After watching film on Dixie Heights, they controlled the end of the second quarter with a interception and after halftime basically came back from being down 21-0 and had a chance to win the game. 21-14 final score.

Dixie Heights had 70 offensive Plays in this game and passed the ball 42 times and ran the ball 21.

Dixie should win this game pretty easy 34 to 0.

So Your saying Beechwood will lose to Dixie in a couple weeks 38-6?

This game is a fascinating matchup after seeing the score from the Cov Cath game.

Edge to Corbin being at home but it’s definitely not a given

My first predictions in 6 years that I haven’t pick Corbin to win. Corbin will be a much better team by play-off.

Dixie Heights 42
Corbin 14

Dixie/Beechwood is a pretty good rivalry and usually a close game. They will both have something in common after Friday.

Despite being at home this is going to be a tough game for Corbin. It will be interesting to see if they look a little more comfortable and open things up more on offense. When you have an athlete like Longmire you have to find creative ways to get him the ball in space. I was really impressed by Dixie Heights score against Cov Cath so I give them a slight edge.

I’m sticking with Corbin in this game. Beechwood played a perfect defense on Corbin the last two years against Haddix and Greer. But what little offense we did produce, we nearly came back and had the ball to give us a opportunity to win the game too. After watching the film and seeing the issues, they are fixable.

I could feel a whole lot better about this game if we had all our kids back, any idea if that’ll happen? If not it’s hard to say, after what happened last week, if the second half Corbin team shows up I like our chances if it’s another slow start then I dunno

Dixie has a lot of nice experienced players, but not much size. Kind of similar to Corbin in a lot of ways.

Should be able to hurt Corbin in many of the same ways Beechwood was able to as well.

This should be a pretty even match-up.

I am inclined to take Corbin by a hair with this being their Bowl Game. Think Corbin's best athletes are a little bit more explosive than Dixie's.

I will say Corbin 24-21.

I think all players will be available after the Dixie Heights game. I watched the film on Dixie Heights and I agree they are real similar to Beechwood. I’ll give Beechwood a lot of credit. As I was looking at the game film, the blocking down field was exceptional. Those fundamentals are big game changers. We played our worst game against them last year and hopefully this year too.

Jury is still out on these hounds, their best chapter hasn’t been written yet. Will not pick against them, hounds 21-7. We have to give qb time to work and jamb receivers while on defense is my only complaints. The team I know we have will be here this week.

Let me call the plays in this one. I'll open the offense up.
