Prestonsburg @ Floyd Central 9/20
#1
I'm expecting a competitive game in this newly established county rivalry.

The Blackcats will be coming in with a 1-3 record looking to avenge their first loss to another Floyd County team in over 30 years after last year's blowout on Josh Francis Field.

The Jaguars also have a record of 1-3.

I've been watching Blackcat football for over 20 years and this could be the youngest team we've had during that time, if not ever. We start several underclassmen on all 3 phases of the game.

I'm hoping for a good, clean game from both teams and some exciting football in a county that hasn't had any for a few seasons. I don't expect these teams to combine for 10 pass attempts, so this game will be won in the trenches.

What say you, BGR?

I'm afraid you might be right, but these young Blackcats will come out ready to play.

I'm expecting this game to be decided by a TD either way, just as long as the Blackcat offense holds onto the ball like they did against Powell Co. In the previous 3 games, all resulting in losses, we fumbled the ball about every 5 carries.

Is the starting QB Hager out this week? I heard he was injured, but I haven't been able to confirm this. If so, I look for both teams to be evenly matched, but if Hager plays, I look for the Jags to have the edge at home. Floyd Central wins 28-21.

I know he's missed the past two weeks, but Idk about his status for tonight's game. A lot more evenly matched with him out.

However, PBurg got back a few kids who really made the difference last week.

#6 Owen Greene became a weapon in the passing game and always worked to get back to his QB when he would scramble.

#11 Kaleb Jarvis had a 50+ yard TD run and an INT. He should've finished with 3 INTs, but he still had a monster game.
