I don't think a competitive game. Having watched, and coached against a young McCreary Central 7th grade, they do have some upcoming talent. But that's at least 3 years away at their high-school in terms of contribution. You never know when Somerset will swoop in and get what few players they have. The last very talented McCreary Central group was 2 years ago, talent that SHOULD have been able to make a little bit of noise in the playoff. They were totally undisciplined and then almost looked to purposely lose to a Jackson county team with 1/4 of their talent. McCreary Central has pretty decent coaching at the middle school level, IMO, why not bring those guys up? Campbellsville took their middle school guys to high-school and have been doing pretty well, while their middle school has suffered. Anyways, this game will be similar to last year. Casey came out flat but then won basically going through the motions. If they come out with enthusiasm off of the victory over Russell County and still in good spirits it could get nasty on the scoreboard. If we are lackluster it'll be something like 35-7 and the young guys won't get to play until the 4th quarter. Hopefully the young guys can play all the 2nd half.

A large amount of mccrearys starters are freshman and sophomores. #34 is most of there offense and it clicks when he is in and the starting qb should be back in I think they should play a little better this game. I’ll say Casey county has came a long way and even though they are 1-3 they will beat mccreary I’m going to say something of the score of 35-14 Casey county. Hopefully the raiders bring it Friday night to steal a win just don’t see it

Mccreary middle coach mark jones i have high respect for and think he is doing a good job. I think the issue at the high school level is discipline and pushing the players workouts three days a week and a senior fighting when the game is on the line this is something that has been a problem the past couple of years

I like him man. I mean it's a competition and we play to win, but he is a good coach, IMO. Their young middle school now has a diverse offense, and their 7th grade was running at least 3 different formations, with a true spread offense, and didn't do bad with it. They have a stud at RB in that group, at least on that level. I have always liked him, and this year seems like he's doing maybe his best job. Was that his son who was probably their best player 2 years ago? That kid could play some football, legit.

I have not had a chance to watch middle school to see how it’s going I keep up the best I can to far of a drive about 8 hours away and find out what I can on mccreary. But no that was not his kid the running back was Troxell two years ago

In my opinion, not even fan opinion, but in my coaching opinion, that group had the talent to get to the regional final. I don't think anyone was beating Corbin until state, but that group had talent.
