Tuesday morning, I listened to Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio as he talked about the NBA pre-draft camp testing results. He said, in a nutshell, that Greg Oden's excellent performance combined with Kevin Durant's poor one in the strength and athletic testing closed the debate on who should be the No. 1 pick in the June 28 NBA draft. It is now, without a doubt, Cowherd argued, Greg Oden. Cowherd is not the only one who has gotten the testing results and used it as a big hammer in the Oden vs. Durant debate. I've even heard some suggestions that Durant may slip out of the top two now that that the testing results are known.
Kevin Durant was the only player in the draft that couldn't bench 185lbs. even once...considering his arms are 9 feet long:p, it makes it harder to bench...but nevertheless, that will hurt him a little when he is in the NBA trying to back down someone like Lebron, D-wade, etc.

IMO, the top pick to me would be the easiest choice in the draft. Anybody in their right mind would take Greg Oden, no matter who their center currently is...Oden is a player that comes around once every 20 or 25 years. Huge frame, quick, athletic, and not a project 7 footer..Durant is a great player, but I'd take Oden in a no brainer..

It was known long before this that Durant wasn't a physical specimen, this is no big surprise. I would take Oden without a doubt, and if the #2 pick isn't Durant, someone just made a big mistake, what is the boy, 17 or 18?, give him a few years to work out, have you seen how much more muscle Lebron has packed on since entering the NBA? Durant will be fine, he is a flat out baller.

Oden #1, Durant #2, it wont change...
Durant has the national player of the year in his closet... I bet he can lift that...

I would take durrant 1 to much upside, oden could be another sam bowie

With how Oden dominated Florida, I doubt he'll be a Sam Bowie, that's pushing it.

I agree, Oden #1 and Durant #2...both of them will have great careers. Look at Kevin Garnett, he looked exactly like durant when he came into the league. Garnett was 18, Durant is 18. I think he will be a great player in the NBA.

Durant could be the next big disappointment.

Durant is a basketball player. I don't care if he can't lift 25 pounds, because anymore, NBA players are mostly 20-25 years old anyways and hasn't matured size wise. Not being able to bench 185 is sad though. VERY SAD!

durant still knows how toplay basketball

he is built to play forward but he wont be able to contend with the big guys in the nba so who ever drafts him should play him at gaurd for a year so he can hit the weights.

He play the 3 position...a swingman if you will. Small Forward will be his position and he will be great basketball player for years to come.

Oden will go number one, if I were a GM I would want to build a franchise around a 7'2 center who will make a quick impact in the league.
