Scott County is facing a big test at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC today when it faces Cox Mill, NC. Cox Mill is ranked #2 in the state of North Carolina. One online poll that I saw had Cox Mill ranked #35 nationally. Scott County is ranked #1 in the state of Kentucky and #41 nationally in that same poll. Both teams enter the game undefeated. The game is scheduled for a 5:15 tipoff.

The rating that you are referring to that has Cox Mill #35 in the nation and Scott County #41 is the MaxPreps computer rating. The actual MaxPreps ratings selected by their panel of experts has Cox Mill #20 and Scott County #19.

Cox Mill is loaded. They have 6'6" Wendell Moore, who has signed with Duke. 247Sports has Moore ranked as a 5-star. He is ranked the #28 best player in his class, the #6 small forward and the #1 player in North Carolina. Cox Mill also has 6'8" Caleb Stone-Carrawell, who has signed with UNC Charlotte. Carrawell is ranked a 3-star by 247Sports. Cox Mill has won the state championship in North Carolina the past two seasons. Both Scott County and Cox Mill are undefeated. This will be a major test for Scott County.
