How were you disciplined when you were a child?

my parents were the type that always believed that violence was not the answer so instead of being whipped like i would have preferred, i had to write like 100+ sentences consisting of a sentence that was 5 or more lines long. my mother always made up the sentence and well it was dreadful. i was pratically begging to be spanked instead.

I hated writing sentences in school, I wasnt always the nicest kid, so I had to write alot "I will not talk in class" and all of that garbage.

I have spanked my oldest one on the butt a few times...but this is very rare...and I dont plan on doing it as he gets older since it doesnt work anyway. Its better for me to take his toys away or as he gets older take something else away such as a car, computer, or phone. My kids are going to be much bigger than me so spanking them will be funny to them..lol.. QQ doesnt spank either so I dont think this is something we will be doing.

I am not sure if I would do it that often. In any case, How is and he or she do not plan on doing it as he gets older since it broken? I think you mean "it's" or "it is" not "its". What's the best one?

My parents were always very lenient when i did something i shouldnt have. I fi stole something, i had to take it back and make an apology. if i said something bad, i got the good ol' bar of soap. there was a few times i recall that i did something so bad that i had to take whoopings with a switch. i was never really whipped, but it was never out of the question.
Even now, My mom is VERY lenient with my grades. she knows how much i want to go to college, and with the grades i sometimes get, it aint gonna happen. It is more the psychological aspect of it. i know i control my own destiny, and i have to do good to get to college. she also thinks that grounding me from something is not going to accomplish anything.
And it works too.

Some times, like thetribe, i had to write my arm off. i still have the pages i wrote somewhere. she got 12 sheets of paper and put them together. i had to fill them with things pertaining to the "crime". i could not do anything until i had filled up the pages front and back.

Ive never really been disciplined that much. I might have got a few whippings but that was about it.

I never spanked my former stepson.
But I may have used an occasional joint of PVC pipe on some unruly people in my day.
Ask QQ im sure he will tell you I can bring when I had to.

QQ Gage might end up being bigger than you too. But I got switches,Belts,(mining belts were the worst) or just anything handy. never got grounded they didnt see any point in it. they would always take my football away sometimes.
