"Dave South just read a release from Alan Cannon, indicating that at 7 pm, Mitch Barnhardt contacted Byrne and asked for permission to speak to Billy Gillispie. Byrne granted his request."

I just watched several clips on You Tube of Gillispie doing post game interviews and I don't think he's the man for the job.

He's a great coach but his ego is not big enough for the UK job.

UK needs a guy that when he is named everyone will be blown away and say, "wow never saw that coming".

Gillispie will be gone after 5 seasons if he gets the nod from Barnhart.

Not a Gillespie fan personally....

Look up the champions since 1987 (the year the 3 point line was put in)... you'll see if you dont average atleast 79 a game, your probably not going to win a championship....

Look up his committments since he took the job...
