Is this the year that Burchell gets them back to the top? Very talented team coming back next year. I feel like if the Asher kid comes back health and can get more shots they can be a force. Clay will be improved I just don't see them competing with South this season, I'm afraid in the 13th this is the season of the Cardinals - both Girls and Boys.

South Laurel is the favorite but Clay should be able to at least compete with them. Mathis, Asher, Parker, Phillips, Mills, and Collins is a pretty solid group. Mathis is right up there with Collett and Steele from South, Parker will be the second best big in the region and Phillips might be the best shooter in the region.

S. Laurel is more loaded than Otis Campbell, first of the month, on a Saturday night! So loaded that Sydney Hall can transfer from Perry Central and sit the bench and be used as a platoon player. The Lady Cards have a nice center who can also shoot from the outside, and have 2 forwards that can blister you from either wing. Done witnessed them on numerous times folks. They're gonna be tough.

As for Clay Co., we all know that visiting them in Manchester, you're already behind by 5 points before tipoff. As for on the road, they're always super tuff. For sure, Clay better bring the Cl"A"y game when it comes to those Lady Cards, but I never count out them Tigers!

Basketball Jones - Why did Hall leave Perry? I thought she was Napiers Star player and already got an offer from EKU. Kinda been hard for me to leave.

I have no clue myself. The ole' rumor mill says that several at PCC are ready to ship out to other schools (S. Laurel and Hazard have been mentioned), or not play at all. What with the younger Proffitt girl moving on to another school, the exodus may be coming? Perhaps the "Wiz" has lost some of his magic. Who knows?

BTW, I Don't know how many offers are made to underclassmen in high school by colleges!? Not many I wouldn't think.
