FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Governor Bevin's office announced Tuesday that the demolition of the Capital Plaza Tower in Frankfort will take place on Sunday, March 11.
The 28-story building will be demolished through a controlled implosion.
Work is already underway to demolish the neighboring Frankfort Civic Center.
The demolition of the two buildings are all part of a redevelopment project which is expected to be completed by 2020.
