Johnson Central Scrimmage

I drove to Sonic on Saturday afternoon and saw that the JC baseball team was playing someone, I am just curious to who the team was and how did they fair? Was this even the varsity scrimmaging or was it the JV? Anyone with details feel free to give me the scoop.

It was both varsity and jv. I think it was Fairview that they scrimmaged.

The varsity scrimmage Central won, 3-1. They played a full seven innings. Central used Fyffe for two innings, Conley for two, Vance for one, Richardson for one, and Stacy for one (I think). The run was given up by Richardson. Central's hitting produced some sharp line drives, several of which were right at Fairview fielders unfortunately. Central played without Justin Blanton that game. They looked okay. Still got some bugs to work out, and the bottom of the order needs to produce.

Hope Blanton will be able to return to the line-up quickly. All things are looking good for Central at this point.
