According to Andy Katz on ESPN, Minnesota officials told him they had been talking to Tubbys agaent for 6 weeks.
It was stated that it would be inappropriate for UK to approach Billy Donovan before his season was over. Sounds to me like it sure didn't stop Minnesota and the Tubby camp.

Does anyone else think it was wrong that Minnesota was talking with Tubby's agent while Tubby was still coaching the Cats thru the end of the regular season, the SEC tourney, and in the NCAA???
Even if Tubby himself wasn't in the discussions, he was getting reports.
How committed was he to UK and recruiting for UK during this process???
