Madison Darnell goes out with 3:25 in the 3rd quarter with a ankle injury and Kaeli Ross fouled out.
Russell had a lead when Darnell went out. Russell will be a force when Darnell and Mitchell (Bad Back) come back.

Boyd's Savannah Wheeler lit up the scoreboard with 36
Aubrey Hill led the Lady Devils with 17
Madison Darnell had 16 before leaving the game in the 3rd period.
I think Ross had double digits before fouling out.

Does anyone know how long Russell will go without Madison Darnell with her Sprained Ankle? Also, how long will Mitchell be out with her bad back? Just wondering how bad the Sprain Ankle was for Madison Darnell in last night's game and Mitchell's Bad Back for Russell?
Russell played outstanding game to have Darnell to leave with 16 in 3rd with Ankle Sprain, Ross Fouling out with 14 points and she was 4-4 from 3 point, and no Mitchell with bad back. Russell having a full lineup for the entire game would have been the difference in this OT loss at Boyd County. Russell, Boyd, and Ashland look like the Top 3 in 16th Region. I also haven't seen two Freshmen like Ross and Hill and they are outstanding players and Russell has soph. and Juniors that are talented as well this year. Russell is loaded this year and they have younger players waiting there turn to come up for Russell. You also can't ask for more with the 3 seniors in Darnell, Michael, and Mitchell and the youth to go along with the 3 seniors. When this team is back to full force you will likely see 7-8 players that could score in double figures this year for Russell. I still have them at #1 in the 16th Region over Boyd County and Ashland. I just figure the depth and scoring at Russell and having 7 or 8 players that can score 15-20 points and the height they have underneath is just by a small margin better than either Boyd or Ashland.
