I wonder how high Mayfield's rating would be if they were able to add the Union City game in. They don't use out of state opponents for these rankings. I'm sure that Union City would probably be around the 80-90 range and the score was real lopsided.

Likely because schedule strength for PC is better. Opponents record for PC is 6-5, for Lawrence is 4-11, for Floyd is 1-15.
PC is in no way a #4 team but being listed above these two isn't a shocker.
#8
These are all out of whack !!! Usually by end of the year they are close, too early to accurate.
#9
WTF... Pike Central at #4 in 3A???????

Someone enter the wrong info in the CPU?
#10
These rankings were a joke dating back into the 60s and still are

makes sense then being above them but not a number 4 team by any means

Some of the worst ratings i've ever seen.

If a formula for rating is good, it predicts what will happen and doesnt' just react to it. At the end of the year, it's easy to have them in better order - all the games have been played.

But right now it's not a good rating.

Maybe the best example of how ridiculous these are is Wayne Co. and Warren East. Wayne beat them handily and Warren East 7 points higher.

Here is another good one.

Clark County (6A) is at 76.6.

Montgomery County (5A) is at 61.7.

Final score from September 8th....with a running clock.....

Montgomery County 51
Clark County 21

Cantrell ratings more accurate for now, but usually Litkenhouse is.
