Reds Win Spring Training Opener
#1
The Cincinnati Reds opened their spring training schedule today with a 9-to-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Florida. Josh Hamilton hit one of Cincinnati's five home runs. The Reds
also committed five errors.
Left-hander Eric Milton pitched two innings and gave up a pair
of homers. It was his first outing since he had surgery last
September to clean out his left elbow.
Ken Griffey Junior did not accompany the team to Bradenton. The
outfielder is still getting his left hand back in shape and hasn't
taken batting practice. He broke the hand last December.
