There has been some discussions about coaches, Players, officials, and teams looking ahead to the state tourney during the regional week. Channel 27 does this on an afternoon show about a month before the tourney. Since all teams know where they will be playing if they advance what would be wrong with having the draw after the regionals are played to create suspense and keep the focus on the regions until they are completed. I think the Sweet 16 draw is fine the KHSAA should have different officals calling different regions like say the 14th. First 2 games ref are from the 10th Region next nite two refs are from the 11th. semifinals refs are from the 9th. and the finals refs are from the 7th That keeps politics and wrong doings to not take place. Do not tell tournament officals were the refs are coming from.
