Panthers started pulling away late in first quarter, and kept the lead in double digits entire second half. I'm telling you, they are the best team in the 13th heading into the tournament. They are very quick as a team, they go to the boards hard, play hard all over the floor, have a decent bench. Turner is a great talent, but Liford is their best player, as solid as they come. Their only flaw I saw last night was they have a bunch of clowns coaching (not Patterson, his assistants). They managed to get one technical, which caused Patterson to have to sit the rest of the night. Their little act won't fly very long with the regional officials, there is a difference between enthusiasm and just being a jerk. Now the question becomes, can KC shake off years of history of not getting it done in the postseason? I guess we shall see.

Yeah, I think they can this year. I loved watching them play against us. They are a no quit team, and fights for every loose ball.
This 13th is so wide open!! It's gonna be a lot of barn burners in the tournament.

Lol. Best bench?

Don't hand them the trophy just yet. No team is going to run up and down the floor with Knox Central during tournament play. Games will be possession by possession and much "closer to the vest". Not saying Knox can't win it, just saying it won't be a rip roar high scoring run and gun type game in the regional tournament. The top teams with the top coaches will definitely try to set the tempo. Should be some great basketball!

Knox is really playing well the last several weeks and this momentum should carry over into the district/ region. But like everyone has said the 13th is wide open. Last Month I was thinking Corbin was the class of the region and had it sealed up now they've had a couple of tough losses. Knox still has a lot of basketball to play. This is going to be one heck of a regional no matter who wins it

Did you agree with the best 5 starters then.

I'm not him, but I'll agree with you on the best overall starting five. I think Callmecrazy would rate South's bench first, and he would be absolutely right IMO.

And no I'm not handing them the trophy, in fact I'm gonna be surprised if they win it. They've had tremendous talent many times, but what has it been, well over 40 years now since they've got it done? And of course you're right, Walter, they are gonna see some teams try to slow the tempo way down on them, that game last night was a typical last game of the year between teams that might meet later, just roll it out there and run the court, not a ton of strategy being used.

So.......Is this team a bigger favorite to win the region than any of the previous Knox teams? I can remember some very good Knox teams over the years but not sure any would be as more favored to win it than this one. Think Tony Patterson was on one team that was heavily favored as well.
By the way, I agree that Knox has to be the favorite, nobody playing as good as they are right now. Everyone starts at 0-0 now on the season.

I swear best thing could happen is south draw Knox first game of region. Imo. It would help south get pumped for rest of region games. I hope it happens. Be good for Knox too.

So are you thinking South is not getting by Corbin in district finals? Cause Knox is winning their district. If South is healthy, I still think they will get by Corbin in district.

Nay. Corbin vs south if they get to finals of district will b a battle either way Just saying you gonna have to win three tough games might as well start off with the hottest team out there right now. South is finally healthy for most part. Feltner is still out. His senior leadership is missed

Knox and Corbin are the favorites and south laurel being the only other team that can pull it off, lost all faith in Harlan and north doesn't have a chance

There is usually one upset in first round of district.
Barbourville- Knox. Could this be the shocker?

Anything is possible, but I don't believe this Tiger team has what it takes to pull the upset.
