First time since 1989 that Estill has defeated Breathitt County. Loudest I have ever heard Hoover Niece Field get.

Congrats to estill should win district.
Breathitt will either get 2 or 3 depending on whether or not they can beat Powell and Magoffin. Regardless breathitt won't make it out of first round as they will either play bell or Casey co or maybe even Corbin if Casey beats Corbin. Regardless they will lose and probably lose big. Sad to see another loss to program we have dominated for 25 plus years. This ensures another losing season for breathitt as we are now 1-5 with hazard still on schedule. So far in the Kyle Moore era we are 16-24 with only 1 playoff win. Never thought we would get this bad.

I don't think these are official stats yet but here is what I have.

Breathitt County 50 plays for 182 total yards (all rush)...11 1st downs (5-11 on 3) (1-3 on 4)....3 TO's....3 penalties for 74 yards

Estill County 49 plays for 354 total yards (all rush)...16 1st downs (3/7 on 3) (0-1 on 4)...0 TO's....6 penalties for 72 yards.


I think if Estill hadn't turned it over on downs late in the game and had got a first down like they thought and everyone else thought, causing Breathitt to score, the score would have been 28-14.
