Raceland cam out and quickly showed Ram Nation that they are going to be a pain in the butt for any team on their schedule. They passed the ball well enough to open up a very potent looking running game. They also I.M.O. had the best skill player I watched this weekend. he wore #1 one and seemed to be able to do everything he was asked to do.
Raceland opened the scoring up on a forty one yard spring by #33, who looked as quick as a water bug as he sprinted down the field. The point after by #60 made this a, 7-0 game.
With 4:17 left in the opening quarter a #10 to #84 completion was called back because of a hold on Bath County.
The last big play of the opening frame was a forty yard jolt by #1 of the Rams. Kid looked like he had speed to burn on this run.
When Bath got the ball back a #33 for Raceland stopped #33 and forced a Bath County punt, with 11:01 left in the half.
At the 10:21 mark of quarter #2 #2 hit #3 good for a forty yard Ram touchdown. The point after kick made this a, 14-0 game.
Raceland looked to have a first down run by #1 at the 7:15 mark of the quarter but a hold negated the play.
With 6:45 left in the half, the Rams picked up ten yards on a third and twelve, when #2 connected with # 5. Raceland picked up the first down on a run by #1, with 6:36 left in the half.
#1 was back at it again with 6:09 showing on the clock. This time he used a couple of spin moves to gain nine yards. The kid can flat out play and if he was to get the touches out of the backfield he could I.M.O. pick up 1,300 or more yards. His line would aid in this in a large way.
With 4:43 left in the half #2 hit #5 for a seven yard gain.
Raceland's #4 put the ball on the ground and making the recovery for Bath was #12 on the eight yard line.
With 2:20 left in the half Bath got a first down when, #10 found #7.
Raceland scored again with :18 left in the half when, #2 hit #3 good for a thirty yard score. The point after made it a,21-0 game.
In the final frame #1 used another spin move on his way to a first down for the Rams.
Then with 9:50 left in the game #4 for Raceland gained twenty yards to move the chains once again.
At the 9:02 mark the Raceland impressive offensive line showed just how good they could be when they opened up a big hole for #8 to run through for a seven yard gain.
With 6:00 left Raceland scored again. This time it was on a two yard run by #33. The point after kick made it, 28-0.
The Rams wasted little time hitting pay dirt again. This time it was on a twenty six yard pass by #2 to #3. The point after ended the scoring,35-0.
Raceland's #13 picked off #7 with 1:21 left.
The final play of the contest was a long gain by Bath, on a #7 to #20 pass play.
