Ask any of them and the all say their from southeastern KY. Never in my 46 years on this earth have I ever heard anyone from Laurel or Whitley say they from cky.

Overall, it looks pretty good. The only thing I would change would be putting Jackson, Laurel, and Whitley Counties in the Eastern Region. Powell could go either way in my opinion, but I don't consider them being Southeastern Kentucky.

I've always considered Bowling Green the start of WKY.
I agree with you on Bowling Green being the start of Western Kentucky. Williamsburg is 5-6 hours East of Paducah so it's definitely Eastern

The shape of the state makes it confusing. counties such as Perry and Pike seem like east instead of southeast lol

No way in the world Pike County can be called Southeast.
They are the East.

(Whitley, Laurel, Jackson, Estill, Powell Counties I have always thought of as being EKY). I also have always thought of EKY to be just that and not separated it into EKY & NEKY. It should be noted that I am in deep WKY and my views are likely different than the locals.
This would be my vote. I don't think anyone would categorize those counties as anything other than EKY. And I might add Montgomery to that list.

Like others said, I've always heard Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Bell, and McCreary always called southeastern kentucky. TBH I've never really heard anyone refer to it as eastern ky or sky. Only thing else I've heard Whitley called is southern ky which is also true, but seky is the most legitimate.
You cant Pikeville eky and think corbin is as well.

This is a great geography lesson and opinions on who belongs where, kind of like are you for the union or the confederacy :ChairHit:

I think most people consider harlan, Leslie, clay, and Jackson all eky.
Rock is usually considered cky.
Wayne is more sky.
Pulaski is kind of an outlier but the rest of that seky group is perfect.

There def. Should be a sky for the counties in cky that are in the border or just above it. It would also break up a good chunk of that massive WKY part
Louisville should fall under indiana
