Growing up in NY, I was blunt, direct and shall we say, not lacking for self esteem. I understand where Trump comes form, because I come from the same place and regional culture.
25 years in the mid west has changed that, but when I was young, I took a job in Mobile Alabama. I got along with no one. I was perceived as brash, arrogant , demanding and difficult to get along with. It was a clash of regional cultures. Eventually, I adapted and made some good friends, but it was a tough transition.
The manner in which Trump communicates is not usual for a New Yorker. He is not an eloquent speaker, in fact, I find his jumping around from topic to topic difficult to follow myself. But I judge him on his core policies , his independence from 1% and a legitimate passion to address issues no one in either party will touch. Issues that have destroyed American families and local economies.
Trump's jobs focus has the ability cut across minority sectors Romney could not touch. Trump's biggest challenge is to shore up his base, as his GOP support is only 80%. He will need 90% support to get elected. If HRC is elected POTUS, it will be GOP support that puts her there.

Well said and you know that folks like FOX News' Charlie Gasparino know exactly what you're talking about. That's how New Yorkers talk. Trump will be the ultimate in white house executives. He will run things with authority, but not lawlessness. By that I mean he will speak clearly and demand certain standards of those who surround him in his administration. You can bet the bad boys of this world know he's coming too.
But, one does not get where Mr Trump is by not listening to his managers or not properly delegating responsibility. This will be an administration in which personal accountability will be the norm as contrasted against the Obama Administration, which has been an exhibition of professional Potomac dodgeball. Loretta Lynch's recent performance comes to mind.
187 days until Jan 20, 2017. What a miserable 8 years it has been and though we're down to counting days, I'm still not 100% convinced we'll survive even that long. He still has that pen and that phone.
