South won the region easily. South had the best team in the region, by far. Davis did a good job this year. Any team in the region that would have added Taylor, Griffith and Ramey would have been better than they were last season. All facts. On to the warm weather sports! Go South, represent the 13th well.

Only one added to South was Griffith and that is a very nice addition. Taylor was there last year and Ramey was finishing up 8th grade at South Middle. Ramey has made a great transition from playing Freshmen/JV ball the first part of the season to becoming a huge part of the varsity lineup.

Davis is a great coach and a great person. Not saying that just cause he's kinfolk, just stating facts.

So you disagree that adding those 3 players to any team would make them better? My point was just that. Taylor improved and became the best big man in the area. Griffith is a beast and a proven winner. The huge steps made by Ramey just might have been the final piece of the puzzle. I don't care where any of the three were at last year, they are all at South this year and are much better players than the year before. You also have to give the staff credit for player development. A transfer, an 8th grader moving up to varsity minutes, and a much improved big man. It is similar to adding 3 players, in a way.

The more I think about it South Laurel will win this game. 2013/14 Clay County almost beat Covington Catholic 80-78. 2014/15 Williamsburg almost beat Louisville Doss 56-50.. Sticking with my prediction South Laurel 76 Christian County 64 I hope everybody who comes to the tournament support mountain teams.....South Laurel,Buckhorn, Lawrence County and Elliott County :Cheerlead

I'm starting to get over last Monday night...My wife found me this morning, shirtless and babbling, in front of Sibert's Market:yikes:... It was hard for me to watch the Mtn. Mamba get taken out like that...I thought the Tigers would beat Christian Co. by double figures so I'm sure SL will take care of them...
SL by 8.
Man this is tuff.
Good Luck to all our Mtn. Teams...

Could you repeat that again. :please:
