Leslie County 40 East Ridge 32
#1
The Tribe's Hail Mary was picked off as time expired to seal the game for Leslie.

Someone said the game would be closer than expected, ER had the chance to win. Good game to Leslie!

What a game east ridge definitely moving in the right direction!!!!!!

East Ridge has 2 of the toughest backs around. Numbers 1 and 3.
Leslie had some injuries that really affected them badly. . Blake Asher played 8 just plays all on defense and Whitaker was out late in 3rd.

This was a huge game for the East Ridge football program. For the first time probably ever they came and played a team that was supposed to be better than them and played them down to the wire. Leslie has a great football team and sure everybody is banged up this time of year but I just gotta say that Brad Allen , his staff, team and the East Ridge Community as a whole turned a major corner towards becoming a "Program" tonight. Hats off to Leslie but although the scoreboard doesn't say it, ER left Hyden with a win.

Leslie just cannot stop a good run game. But they got a win and that is why they play games!

East Ridge gave up 3 big plays that cost them the game. 2 4th and longs and a 3rd and 20....all for TDs. With that all said, ER forces a turnover with 1:20 and no timeouts in the 4th and drives down the field to the Leslie 39 without their starting QB. I would give the spill about the last Leslie touchdown on 4th and long when it was 33-32, but there isn't much of a point.

It's slowly coming together on Lick Creek.

Eagles may have suffered a little let down after the disappointment from the loss last week

He suffered a severe knee contusion in the first quarter of the Prestonsburg game. Played through it that game and the whole Shelby Valley game. Just played a few plays last night because it was Senior night. Rest is only cure for that... I'm sure it was hard for them not to play them, but it was smart. He sure be ready to go next week and beyond.

Leslie is 8-1.. Been in some tough games where everything didn't go their way. I'm kinda glad they've had some games where they had to overcome mistakes and finish at the end.. Adversity plays a big part in the playoffs.
