The historic Carr Creek High School is now owed by the Carr Creek Alumni Association. During the past month it has come to our attention there are many sports fans out across the state that are still interested in the history of the school and would jump at the opportunity to visit. We would like everyone to know you are invited to come walk back into basketball history. The old gym is as it was during the days of the 1956 state championship run. Where is Carr Creek?

Knott County. Home of Carr Creek Lake. It is also home of Coach Morton Combs' 1956 State Basketball Championship team.

Thanks Blue-N-Gold for your answer. Yes the school is located in Knott County which is in southeast Kentucky (about 18 miles from Hazard). And yes the school overlooks Carr Creek Lake. Would love for you to come by sometime so we can should you around and allow you to walk back in history.
