Congrats pirates...a very solid performance against a pretty good football team....

Just manhandled a very good football team.

Tonight I watched a 6'6 305 pound 5 star recruit waltz into CAM and get his ass handed to him.

Rayquan Horton is the real deal. I love watching the kid play, he has a motor that is unreal. I hope he sees this message and never quits striving to be the best. Never settle Rayquan, the sky is the limit!!!!!

wish I could have been there !

5 Star going to Tennessee and with an offer from Alabama at that

Horton is the best Dlinemen in Kentucky..PERIOD.
He may be the best Defensive player in the state all things considered

Crossbones Wrote::thatsfunnConfusednicker: maybe they should..seeing as they are close to Tenn. I wouldn't get them from there because they suck too.

I've tried :Sad04:

One play Ray tried to go one way on the kid and can't get there, so he threw him that same way and went the other way. Tossed him like he was a chump.

Big time win for the Pirates. Ray Ray was a beast as usual and the option worked all night long for the Pirates. Time to get ready for Cabell Midland. Should be a good one.

Just throwing it out there that the WDN's writing is embarrassingly poor. It reads like it was written by a fourth grader. (No exaggeration)

Last night is the first night I got to watch this Belfry team live, and I'm here to tell you this team is really good! This Belfry team can flat out play some football. I couldn't get over how athletic and physical this team is. On top of the fact that they are so young is amazing. By no means Is this team unbeatable, but it will take a really good team to take them down.
#46
Congrats Pirates. You own Tennessee.

I disagree. I think he's one of the best trolls on BGR' s. I find his posts very entertaining.

Congrats Belfry you did Kentucky proud.

Another nice win for the Pirates. They didn't play perfect by any means....still have an issue with penalties....and the offense could be a little smoother.

But....great effort! Good luck against Cabell Midland

I'm surprised that more people don't pick on Lawrence County for this same thing, because if I was a betting man........and I am, I would say that the Bulldogs have more WV born players in the starting lineup then Belfry does on the whole team............huh, what, I mean who......did I say that out loud? Pay no attention to me I know nothing!

Lawrence County has always had WV kids on the team. How many we get depends on how strong the program is at the time. It is one of the perks of living on a state border. As long as everything is done legally, I don't see anything wrong with it. I would say that every team in this state that is located on a border gets kids from the state they border. When you have a good winning program kids want to come play for you and besides, every body and their brother knows that most of WV football is weak as well water so they want to come over where big boy football is being played. If you don't think that some of the Bulldogs success in the decade of the 90's and early 2000's wasn't from talent transferring in then you are kidding yourself. The kids of Lawrence County and Wayne County in WV know each other well, some grew up playing baseball together and some are family.

I know. The wife and I where driving down 52 yesterday by fort gay and I told her that there wasn't a doubt in my mind that kids that lived in West Virginia went to school at LC. They would be crazy to drive all the way to tulsia when LC is 5 minutes away. As a parent I would not take my kid 30 minutes away to school when I could drive across a bridge and be there in 5 minutes. And then you have the whinners that complain when there is nothing illegal being done.

For a few It don't even take that long. Wayne County is a pretty big county in WV. Even with us getting a few kids from there look at how well Tolsia is doing right now. They are undefeated and Wayne high school wins a state championship about every other year. There is a lot of talent walking the halls of Wayne county schools. A few years back both Wayne and Tolsia were playing each other in a state championship.

And they had to drive all the way to Wheeling to play the game. That's kinda crazy.
