I've lived in Boyd Co, for the last three years. I'm a big fan of high school football and have future lions coming up. I hope Boyd Co. Can get there program turned around and the community can rally behind the school and they can start fielding some competitive teams. I remember scrimmages against Boyd Co in the 80s and they would flat out stick you. Get the vibe back, and make Friday nights fun again!

#8
nice showing by all teams but Fairview passing game to much for others

Whats teams beat who?
#10
Was hard to tell who beat who depending on which game you was watching. The field was split and 2 games were being played at once.

Boyd really struggles getting talent from the saturated area...

The future with any program has to start today. The head coach has to be heavily involved in the youth programs and work hand in hand with the coaches that are coaching the youth. Most of your better programs have the grade schools and even the middle schools run nothing but the same playbook as the high school. Once those kids reach the high school level there already very aware of the system. Now comes perfecting it and the coach putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I know Boyd Co. has a new coach only 2-3 years into his tendure and may be doing this already. If so then the future will get brighter.

What altercation happened on one of the teams sidelines?
#14
I noticed Boyd's roster by class. Had a total of 48 players listed with 20 of them freshman. Something like 8 sr 12 jr 7 so 20 fr

I guess they should be pretty good in 2 or 3 years, but then again that's been said several times over the last 6 or 8 years.
#16
lets just say somebodys star running back was running his mouth and somewhere where he had no business being got his but handed to him. that's being as polite as I could be about that sideline incident

I did see Fairview have words with at least 3 of the 4 other teams there at one point or another in during their 30 minute scrimmages.

I agree 100%. When Maynard was at Raceland, he started the High School's JFL camp, he came to the home games on Saturdays and Salmons has been even more hands on. Having coaches meetings, group discussions, and allowing us JFL coaches the chance to talk to him and his staff, with any questions we have. We went from having 11-15 kids in each high school class, to consistently having 15-20. Those numbers should only continue to increase. For a 1A school to put 50-65 players on a Roster each season, speaks volumes to what the High Schools involvment has been.

I got to see the video of this scrimmage. Fairview will be fine on offense but Boyd County and pretty much every team there had no problems getting yards on the Fairview defense. They better fix that before they come to the Dawg house because the 2015 Bulldog offense is going to be lights out way better then last year and our Oline is insane.
