Morgan County 54, Ashland 47
#1
Final. In the third quarter Morgan County got a big lead and tried to put the ball in the deep freezer. Since their ball handling skills are suspect, they blew over half of their lead but hung on to win. Ashland finishes at 5-27 with wins over Rose Hill (2), Fairview, Russell, and Fleming County. The combined record of those four schools was 33-73. Tough year for the maroon partisans.

It was a difficult year for the kids. We partisans are only here for our support. It isnt about us. I hope the kids learned that in life with every threat comes an opportunity. They were able to beat Fairview in an elimination game, so maybe they demonstrated some of that resolve. Looking forward, it will be a long year next year as well. If a couple of kids decide to lace em up again it would provide a nice injection of athleticism and toughness. I dont expect this to happen, but who knows.

I hate when teams get a lead like that and try and stall. If you have a lead like that why not try and put your foot on the pedal and keep going?
