Valley moves to 2-0 in the district after the win tonight.
Hard to figure this team out. Started out the season 10-1, with their only loss being to a team from Tennessee. Included in that were good wins over Harlan Co and Breathitt Co.
Then they lose two in a row, the second being a completely inexplicable loss to Prestonsburg in the first round of the All-A. All of a sudden, the team that most thought was the clear favorite to take their third straight region championship, gets knocked out of the first round of the small-school tourney.
But after having to watch their two district opponents battle it out for the regional All-A title, Valley proceeded to beat both Pikeville and ER by 20 points each this week. It appears that the 59th district still runs through Robinson Creek, at least for now.
