Wayne has been playing very well. They could be dangerous for the Hounds next week.

E-town has a solid team. Wayne Co. Must be playing much better. Great win.

I'm from Hardin County and was very impressed with Wayne.

Gritty. Hard-nosed. Broke tackle after tackle. Hit hard. Didn't celebrate too much (and they had a lot to celebrate). Would do something good or score, give the ball back to the ref, and just go back to work.

They wore E'town down and an Elizabethtown player admitted that much. Basically ran over E'town in the second half. Didn't throw it much after halftime and frankly, didn't need to. Ran something like 10 straight carries at one point with the same 2-3 guys and E'town couldn't stop it, even putting 10 in the box.

And this was an E'town team which had shut down too decent (Henry, Glasgow) running attacks in recent weeks.

Good job Cards.

Ran into some WC fans, even though they didn't know who I was, at the famous Texas Outlaw BBQ in E'town before the game.

Hope everyone got back safe and WC came out healthy.

E'town was left battered and bruised. Starting QB, a Division-I baseball pitcher, got a concussion. Four other guys, including star running back Cecil, with ankle/leg injuries. The kid who made the awesome one-handed grab to keep E'town's season alive on the Panthers' final drive hurt his back on the play. Not expected to be at basketball practice next week and basketball coach (also a former E'town player back in his glory days) told him not to play basketball until he was healed because he knows back issues can linger ... so he better get it fixed.

That's not excuses though. WC deserved to win the game. WC manhandled E'town in the second half. WC fundamentally tackled, played clean and hit hard.
